Flood Risk Assessment

A flood risk assessment (FRA) is an assessment of the risk of flooding, particularly in relation to residential, commercial and industrial land uses. Large scale planning applications (generally over 1ha) and applications close to water sources or in Flood Risk Zones 2 or 3 must be accompanied by a flood risk asessment. This may also need to be accompanied by a sequential and exceptions test assessment. MSP are able to arrange for the preparation of flood risk assessments by associate water engineers, as part of the management of the submission of your application. On the Links page you can access the Environmenta Agency's website to establish of you are located in a flood risk area.
